Since 2024, a group of young residents from the Versailles neighborhood in Neder-Over-Heembeek has been programming a show as part of the HOPLA! circus festival.
Over the course of a season, they immerse themselves in the world of contemporary circus to program one of the future shows for the HOPLA! festival. To do so, the group is mentored by team members and goes on scouting trips to find that rare gem that will be performed right on their doorstep. In 2025, the group was warmly welcomed at the Fêtes Romanes, a special moment spent with artists and industry professionals. Throughout the process, the group is supported by Franziska Trapp, a research fellow at the ULB and a dramaturg.
