TRACE[S]
Leo Schemmel - Cie Echo(e)s
TRACE[S] is a contemplative tightrope solo exploring our relationship to our ancestors
What remains of our ancestors? Do we carry this transgenerational memory? TRACE[S] is a journey. A physical journey, on the one hand, above our heads, before our astonished eyes, where the tightrope walker moves step by step, meticulously, in search of the paths taken by his ancestors. A philosophical journey, on the other hand, in search of traces of his past and his heritage. A talented saxophonist accompanies this journey, creating soundscapes and melodies, for a poetic, suspended moment.

Trained as a carpenter, Leo Schemmel discovered tightrope walking by chance. Captivated by it, he completed several training courses and met Marta Lodoli of the Chaussons Rouges company: this marked the beginning of his career as a tightrope walker. This encounter led to a shared desire to create a show together, and the show “Nadir” was born. Today, Leo Schemmel is forging his own path with the creation of TRACE[S].
