Rouge merveille

Mélusine Lavinet-Drouet discovered the circus in Paris; after a year at the Arc en Cirque preparatory school in Chambéry, she continued her studies at ACaPA (Academy for Circus and Performance Art) in Tilburg (the Netherlands). After completing her studies, she worked as a solo trapeze artist and continued to explore and develop other forms of physical expression, particularly through dance and martial arts, such as her regular collaborations with Alexander Vantournhout. She discovered Chloé Moglia’s work through Suspension/Systema training, then in 2018 joined the Rhizome company as part of the aerial team for La Spire and Midi/Minuit, and more recently for Bleu Tenace. In 2023, she was part of the creation of Sidéral by choreographer Sébastien Ly, accompanied by Kitsou Dubois. She also works with Le Jardin des Délices (Luna Rousseau and Nathan Israël) on their upcoming show Tendre, which premiered in 2025. At the same time, she shares her practices with diverse audiences and continues her exploration of movement in suspension.

Rhizome fosters the growth of artistic projects. Founded in 2009, it is a team that brings together expertise and imagination, ensuring that its creative vision unfolds in harmony with people, landscapes, and atmospheres. Since 2017, Rhizome has been based in Trédion, on the northern edge of the Vannes Agglomération – Golfe du Morbihan, in the department of the same name, in Brittany. Initially a simple base from which to reach out to the wider world, the town of Trédion is becoming the World Capital of Suspension: an artistic hub, a center for research and training.
