Can we remain true to ourselves while being deeply connected to others? This is the question Duo Bau asks with Doppie Punte.

A tangle of bodies fills the stage, and this entity forms and transforms in symbiosis. Is it a single being or two distinct ones? Doppie Punte is a show that explores the complexity of human relationships, highlighting their wonderful uniqueness and their inherent difficulty. On stage, the performers are united by a simple yet powerful physical bond: their hair is braided into a single plait. Is this bond a cumbersome limitation or a rare advantage? You be the judge…

Duo Bau

Duo Bau is a female duo founded in 2019 and composed of Sole and Maria, two distinct artists united by the same dreams and projects. They met at the Carampa circus school in Madrid in 2019, where they were captivated by the art of hand-to-hand and suddenly decided to form a company together. In 2021, the artists presented their first work, the DUO BAU SHOW, a street performance that blends various disciplines such as hand-to-hand, clowning, acrobatics, and juggling. This show has taken over numerous squares in Italy and has participated in various festivals in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Germany. The duo’s second creation was conceived in 2024 and debuted in 2025: DOPPIE PUNTE, a show about relationships, focused on the transformation of the body, physical connection, and constraint. Maria and Sole are the founders and members of the Circo Bottoni company.
