Hot & Cold is a contemporary circus performance combining trapeze, flying rope, straps, and tightrope
Fasten your seatbelts—the Wise Fools are taking you on a journey to their homelands. Finland and South Africa lie on the same longitude, but are 12,000 kilometers apart from north to south. Together, they create a world where it’s possible to surf and ski in the sky and feel the northern breeze even in summer. When heavy metal meets house music and when Finnish melancholy meets South African energy, they find unexpected ways to support each other despite their differences.

Wise Fools
Wise Fools is a Finnish-South African all-female circus trio. They received their professional training at the École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Belgium. The Finnish members, Maria and Valpuri, studied triple trapeze, while Jaimee studied cloud swing. In January 2015, the trio
won the silver medal for their triple trapeze act at the prestigious Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris. During the early years of their career, the trio worked with the famous Cirque du Soleil and signed a seven-theater contract with Europe’s largest variety company, GOP Variete. In 2017, Wise Fools created their first outdoor show, Trashpeze, which blends comedy with various aerial acrobatics acts. Trashpeze has been performed in Japan, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, and throughout Europe. They have performed at major festivals such as the Seoul Street Arts Festival, the Daidogei Festival, and La Mercé. Since the summer of 2025, Wise Fools has been touring with their new show, Hot & Cold.
